The 2009 Breeder’s Cup World Championships will take place on November 6th and 7th and you can watch the events on ESPN and ABC. The races will be held at the Santa Anita Park with combined purses/awards of $25.5 million. Don’t forget to get your bets in for these fantastic races. Across the board: When you wager on a horse to Win, Place and Show. For instance, if you bet $2 across the board, you’re placing a $6 ticket–$2 to Win, $2 to Place and $2 to show.

Sedgefield was scratched from the 2007 Preakness Stakes today. The Vegas racebooks had Sedgefield at 50-1 early.
After running, and finishing 5th, in the Kentucky Derby last weekend, Sedgefield appeared to be a little sore.
