The two top horses are positioned next to each other in the 1 and 2 spot. The one horse is Mt. Rhodes (7-2) and the two horse is Jab Jab Pow (5-2). Both horses are listed at 117 and on Lasix.

There are ten horses in the field. The favorite for this race is La Belle Frenchie. She’s a 7 year old mare and listed as your 2-1 favorite for race 4.

Race three at Evangeline Downs is 5 1/2 furlongs. It is a $10,000 Maiden Claiming race for accredited LA Bred Maidens that are three years old. The field is twelve horses strong. The two horses that, according to the morning line, are ones to watch are Political Tirade (5-1) in the 5 position and Nunez (3-1) in the 6 position. I like Nunez in this one.

Race 3 is 7 furlongs in length. The race is for three year olds and upward who have never won two races. This $11,500 claiming race has eleven horses in the field. The morning line favorite is the 9 horse, Gone to Seattle, at 3-1. I don’t see what all the fuss is about. First, Gone to Seattle has not performed well lately, especially the last race, which was just below this level.

Your morning line favorites are Make Money at 3-1 and Toolights Ruckus at 4-1. Most action figures to be on Make Money—catchy name too. In Make Money, you have the solid jockey (C J Woodley 21%) and trainer Breaux Samuel (14%).
