Here’s the breakdown of the field.

1: Beech Corner : 4-1 on the morning line. There’s not much of anything going on here. The workout times look respectable.

2: Tricks are Free : 15-1 on the morning line. Her last race here was on October 9. In that 6 furlong race she got off well, but quickly got ran over and finished 8 of 9 horses. She’s 15-1 for a reason.

3: Miss Stormy : 10-1 on the morning line. She last raced about one month ago here. It was a 6 furlong race. She looked good for awhile, but things went bad down the straight away. She dueled and backed off. Miss Stormy finished 5th as other horses took her over.

4: Memas Snow Bird : 12-1 on the morning line. This could be a long shot to use in your exotics. Her last race was on Oct 9 and 6 furlongs. She held her ground around 3rd most of the race. She finished 4th after giving out. This might be a good field for her and the loss of ½ a furlong could help.

5: No Talkie : No Talkie, meet no bettie. Sorry, I don’t bet on horses listed at 3-5. You are welcome to do it, but I’d rather find another horse or just watch. She’s dropping down in class a little bit—she was destroyed in maiden races at 33k, 46k and 53k.

6: Percilla : She’s 10-1 on the morning line. It looks like 5 furlongs is more her style. She’s come up spent and tired at 5 ½ and 6 furlongs. I look for more of the same here. Look for her to get out early and die off late.

7: Favoritely : 8-1 on the morning line. Her last race was on October 9 at this track. In that 6 furlong race, she was in 7th and 8th around the turn, but started picking it up down the straight away. A great late bid helped her finish in 2nd. Looking at the field today, she might be the right horse for this race.

As mentioned, I don’t bet 3/5 horses. I like Favoritely to make a run. I’m looking for a cluster to get out in front and she should be just off the pace ready for a late bid. I can definitely see her finishing in the money and she has a shot to pull off the win.
