Race two at Mountaineer Park is 7 furlongs. The race is for Fillies and Mares three years old and upward which have never won four races. It’s a $15,000 claiming race on turf. There are ten possible horses for this field. This field features two morning line favorites. Far Too Grand is listed at 3-1 and Morty’s Legacy is listed at 4-1. Many are expected to jump on Far Too Grand.
Far Too Grand definitely has the stuff to run at this distance on turf. She’s a three year old filly. He last race was at Mountaineer Park on June 26. It was a $15,000 claming race (N3L). The race was a one mile turf race. Far Too Grand stayed with the pack, but eventually broke lose and never looked back. I would not be surprised to see Far Too Grand bet down to 2-1 in this race. She looks really good and should have no trouble finishing in the money.
Morty’s Legacy is the 7 horse and should be watched. She is a six year old mare. Her last right was right here on June 17. That race was a 7 1/2 furlong race on turf. It was a $20,000 claiming race. Morty’s Legacy rocketed out the gate and never looked back. This race was over the moment the horses were out of the gate. There was no doubt about this race. This is a horse bred for turf. I am looking for Morty’s Legacy to finish in the money and fight with Far Too Grand for the race.
