Race three is another turf race. It’s a one mile $7,500 claiming race for fillies and mares three years old or upward. All participants have not won more than one race of one mile or over since May 10. There are ten horses in the field. The race favorite is Para Vidinha. She’s a four year old filly and is listed at 3-1 in the morning line.

She has had two wire to wire races and almost a third (she won all three). Two of those races have been on turf. One was at the Maiden Special Weight 17k level. The last one was on June 17 at this track. She raced in a $6,500 claiming race and destroyed the field. She ended up winning by 4 lengths. Two horses in today’s race finished behind her. In second was Adorable Audrey (6-1) and in third was Classic Visit (4-1).

I don’t think Classic Visit has what it takes to win. Adorable Audrey makes for an interesting choice. She is a seven year old mare. Her last race was here on June 17. As you know, Para Vidinha broke away from the pack and ran away with the race. However, Adorable Audrey did not give up. She broke away at the half mile point and began chasing Para Vidinha. She made a little ground up at the end, but finished in second. At 6-1, I like Adorable Audrey to finish in the money. She just might give the field a run for its money.
