Silver Train keeps on rolling through the races. On Sunday, he was entered into the $150,000 Tom Fool Handicap. Silver Train was looking to build on his good career. If you remember, he ran away with the Metropolitan Handicap on Memorial Day. However, it’s not all roses for Silver Train. He’s quickly becoming known as the horse that can only win at Belmont.
Outside of the Belmont track he just can’t win. He’s a paultry 1 and 8 everywhere else. Horse bettors did not really capitalize on Silver Train’s last race. He was a heavy 4-5 favorite in the race. Silver Train was ridden by jockey Edgar Prado. Silver Train won the race and paid $3.60, $2.60 and $2.10. Following him was War Front. He gave it a good effort and placed paying $3.80 and $3.10. Finally, Big Apple Daddy hit the board in the show position. He paid $2.90.
